Fire breaks out in Paung Twsp.

Fire broke out at around 9:25 am on 8 February in Kada Ward in the Town of Paung, Mon State, and destroyed a house. The fire was thought to have started from an electric short circuit installed on the home of U Soe Naing in the ward.

 

Firefighters from the township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire in collaboration with local police members and locals, and the blaze was completely extinguished at about 9:35 am.

 

Fire destroyed the home of U Soe Naing, causing a loss of about K 180000. But no casualties were reported. Five family members of fire victims are currently taking shelter at the homes of their relatives, according to an official from the township Fire Services Department.—Win Min Than, Township IPRD
