Fire breaks out in Paung Twsp.

A fire broke out at about 9:00 pm on 4 August in Mingalar Market in Kada Ward in Paung Township, Mon State.


The fire was thought to have started from a lighted joss-stick left in the shop of Daw Ka Li Ma. The fire totally destroyed four shops including the shop of Daw Ka Li Ma, causing a loss of about K 900000.  But no casualties were reported.


Firemen from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire in cooperation with locals using two fire engines, and the blaze was successfully extinguished. Authorities filed a case against Daw Ka Li Ma for her negligence.—Win Min Than, IPRD
