A fire broke out in a house of U Hla Than in Kalwin village-tract in Myeik, Taninthayi Region at 10 am today.
The fire started from the ember and spread to the wall of the house, according to Fire Services Department.
Officials from the Fire Services Department extinguished the fire using seven fire engines and five water tankers with the help of local residents. The fire was totally put out at about 10:20 am.
Due to the fire, one house was destroyed and no casualties were reported in the incident.
Investigation is being made to take action against the house owner for his negligence.
