Fire breaks out in Aungpan

A fire broke out in the town of Aungpan at about 1:45 pm on 3 July, and destroyed a house, causing a loss of K 380000, according to the township Fire Services Department.

 

The fire was thought to have started from overheated wire installed in a refrigerator in the home of Daw Than Myint in Ywangansu Ward in the Town of Aungpan, Kalaw Township,Taunggyi District, Shan State (South).

 

Firefighters from the township Fire Service Department rushed to the scene to put out the fire in collaboration with locals using four fire engines, and the blaze was totally extinguished at about 2:15 pm. One person has been injured in the fire.

 

Authorities filed a case against Daw Than Myint for her negligence.—Township IPRD
