With the aim of improving the health status of older adults and boosting their incomes, officials provided 23 senior citizens above 85 years old from seven villages in Monglwe village tract in Mongyang Township, Shan State(East) yesterday on a door to door basis.
Under this cash aid program, 23 elderly people including six men and 17 women who are eligible for social pension received Ks. 30000 each for three months.
Also presence on the occasion were Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Aung Zin Oo, staff officer of the Township Information and Public Relations Department U Khun Ye Htway and village administrator.—Khu Ye Htway(Hsihseng)
