Driver killed, two others injured as 12-wheeled truck overturns in Pyawbwe Twsp

One person was killed and two others sustained minor injuries after a 12-wheeled truck loaded with rice sacks overturned in Pyawbwe Township, Mandalay Region.
    

The fatal accident occurred near Thayechaung Bridge, Kyeni Village in Pyawbwe Township at about 6 p.m. on September 16. A 12-wheeled truck heading to Yangon from Shwebo driven by U Min Zaw Than crashed into a tree and flipped over near milepost 292/6 on the Yangon-Mandalay old road after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Firefighters from a local fire service station rushed to the scene of accident and carried out the rescue operation with the use of two fire engines. 


One man died on the spot and two others were injured in the incident. The deceased and injured people were sent to Pyawbwe Hospital and action has been taken against the truck driver over reckless driving by the police.
