Officials from the Department of Rural Development inspected completion of a multi-purpose hall in Wangtaung Village, Mongyang Township in Eastern Shan State on September 27.
The one-storey facility is 40 ft. in length, 12 ft. in width and 12 ft. in height. It was built under the Emerald Green Project at a cost of K 10 million and construction work began on January 21 and the project was cent percent completed, according to the township DRD.
The village is made up of 64 homes with 404 people. The locals are expected to use the newly-built hall for health, social and religious ceremonies in all seasons.
