Covid-19 prevention measures stepped up in six border villages

Kamaukgyi town covid-19 prevention, control and treatment committee has been stepping up prevention measures in six border villages along Pachan river on Myanmar-Thailand border from April 8 to 9.

           

Khamaukgyi town administrator U Nay Lin Aung, who is also the chairman of the town Covid-19 committee, and members made a field trip to the villages to educate local people about covid-19, to ensure that local people know information and recommendations issued by ministry of health to help them avoid the deadly coronavirus.

           

During their visit, the committee chairman and members issued 50 pieces of facial protective shields to each village and 10 suits of personal protective equipment for Maryan village station hospital, each packet of surgical masks to Aye Chan Thar village, Phaw Lone village and Phawt Thot village. After inspecting facility quarantine centers in the villages, the committee chairman and members provided financial assistance for those who were discharged from quarantine centers for travel expenses to their home town.—Nang Lay Lay (khamaukgyi IPRD)
