Construction of rural road in Loikaw Township 90 % completed

Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development led by staff officer Daw Eih Eih Khin looked into progress for construction of a rural road in Padange Village, Loikaw Township in Kayah State on 11 February.

An earthen road measuring two miles and four furlongs in length and 18 ft. in width plus one box culvert are being built by a private tender winning company with Ks. 99.69 million of DRD’s allotted funds in the fiscal year 2020-2021.

Construction of the rural road has been about 90 percent finished so far. Once completed, it will benefit over 4000 acres of farmlands of people in nearby villages.—Ko Sai (Loikaw)
