Waw , 14 June
A ceremony to provide cash aids to storm victims in Waw Township, Bago Region was held at an office of the Township Administration Council on 14 June.
The strong winds hit the township on 10 June and destroyed six houses in Ashaekan ward in the town of Waw and eight houses in Hteintabin and Boepyan villages. In addition, the roofs of five houses in Ashaekan ward and roofs of 20 houses in two villages were flipped over due to the forceful winds.
Officials from Regional Department of Disaster Management provided relief items and K 4,343,800 of cash aids for purchasing building materials and rice to the victims.
