Cash aid provided to households relocated to safer places due to riverbank erosion

The district Department of Disaster Management provided cash aid to family members from 32 households whose homes became relocated due to riverbank erosion in Lower Daunkgyi Village in Pantanaw Township, Maubin District, Ayeyarwady Region yesterday.

Officials from the district Department of Disaster Management under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided a total of K 3.56 million for purchasing rice and construction materials to 175 family members from 32 households in Ahtetkazintaw Village and Lower Daunkgyi Village in the Township on a door to door basis.—Aye Chan Aung (Pantanaw)
