Cash aid provided to households relocated to safer locations due to riverbank erosion

The district Department of Disaster Management provided cash assistance to family members from two households whose homes became relocated due to riverbank erosion in Thaungbok Village in Lemyethna Township, Hinthada District, Ayeyarwady Region yesterday on a door to door basis.

 

Officials from the district Department of Disaster Management under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided a total of K 214700 for purchasing rice and construction materials to family members from two households in Thaungbok Village in the Township.

 

Ten family members from two households in Thaungbok Village were evacuated to safer places as a result of riverbank erosion on 30 July.—Shwe Moe(Lemyethna)
