Basic course on agricultural machinery operation, maintenance opens

A ceremony to open a basic agricultural machinery operation and maintenance course was held at No-32 mechanized farming camp under Mechanized Farming Department in Kyopingaut township, Bago region this morning. 


At the event, township administrator U Thiha Zaw made opening remarks. Then, deputy director U Wai Phyo of the region mechanized farming department reported on the aim of the course. He said that the course is to help agricultural machinery operators to be able to operate and maintain a lot of agricultural machinery with less damage. He said the course also aims to deal with shortage of agricultural workers and to create job opportunities in the region.


A total of 30 farmers who use agricultural machinery from Oak Po and Kyopingaut townships are attending the course which will last for 12 days.


An instructor team from Thayawady district mechanized farming department will teach the trainees practically and theoretically how to operate and maintain agricultural machinery such as  tractor, field cultivator, harvester, seeder, planter and single-cylinder engine.—Zayar Tun (Kyopingaut)
