27 Myanmar nationals coming back home from Thailand quarantined in Nyaungshwe

Nyaungshwe, 15 July

27 Myanmar citizens returning from Thailand this morning were placed under 21-day observation at a facility quarantine center in Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State.

The returnees were welcomed by members of the township Covid-19 control and prevention committee and volunteers from local social organizations and charitable groups. They were given medical checks by medical staff from the Department of Public Health before accommodating them at the facility quarantine center.

The returnees—21 from southern Shan State and six from northern Shan State—came back home through Myawady border checkpoint and were sent back with the arrangement of Shan State government.
